Achievements in Science Research
We are proud to share the outstanding achievements of our students in recent research competitions.
Singapore Science and Engineering Fair (SSEF) 2025
The SSEF is a prestigious national competition organised by the Ministry
of Education (MOE), the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR),
and the Science Centre Singapore. It provides a platform for students to
showcase their passion for scientific research and to present their findings
to experts from academia and industry.

The Final Judging Round took place at the Science Centre on 12 March, where our student finalists presented their research posters.
We are pleased to announce that two projects from ACJC were shortlisted for the Final Judging Round:
-
Chen Hsiao Jou (2SC7) and Lakshmanan Ammrudha (2SA6) for their project titled “Treatment of Coconut and Hair Waste for Applications in Dyes and/or Metal Remediation”
-
William Edward Sugiharto (2SA6) and his teammate from EJC for their project titled “Artificial Intelligence-Based Power Demand Forecasting”
William’s team also received two special awards:
The James Dyson Foundation Design Engineering Award
The SAAS Poster Presentation Award
26th International Elementz Science Research Conference and Exhibition 2025
ACJC also participated in this international competition organised by
Anderson Serangoon Junior College (ASRJC), where students presented their
projects and answered questions from a panel of expert judges.
We congratulate the following awardees:
-
Chai Shaoyang (2SA6)(which is me) and Harold Chang (2SA7) – Silver Award
Project: “Designing an Artificial Intelligence and Automated System for Analysing Plant Growth and Speeding Up Harvest” -
Ain Myeisha Arman (2SC8) – Gold Award
